Herzlich Wilkommen!
It's great to be back at University, and I'm very excited about
what the German Club has in store for you this year. My name is Melinda Stanners, and I will be your WILD! editor for this
year. In the midst of some chaos, I am obliged to be sending you an incredibly short WILD! at present, but once the dust has
settled we'll all know more about what's going on. Those of you who have experienced WILD! before will notice that this year,
we're trying something a little different, so if anyone has anything to say, good, bad or ugly, e-mail me at tandrac@yahoo.com.
(I'm still pretty new to this e-letter program, so if you wouldn't mind bearing with me this one issue, my expertise will
increase to a respectable level by next WILD!, I promise!) Oh, and much kudos to Adrian for putting up the pictures for us.
WILD! would be pretty bland without them.
That said, we have an exciting lineup this year, with events to float the
boats of any and all including the weekly Kaffeeklatch cake and coffee session, regular pub nights at the German Association
on Flinders Street, a German film night, the infamous German club play, a cocktail party, various scuffles with the French
Club (provided they're willing to have their asses kicked for another year) and there have been rumours of German speaking
hours and a possible brewery tour. So keep an eye out in your inboxes for more info later on.

German Club Action. Kaffeeklatch! Kaffeeklatch is on! on Thursdays at 1 pm in the Margaret Murray room (Level 5 of the Union building,
through the big room and the wooden doors. Just follow the smell of coffee and the German flag). Kaffeeklatch is our excuse
to get together and drink coffee, eat Kekse und Kuchen, and enjoy each other's company, so get your five dollar membership's-worth
and come along!
Pub Night On Friday the
12th of April, there will be a German Club pub night at the German Association on Flinders Street. What a great opportunity
to get together and have a 'getting to know you all (again)' drink.
The Play! The German Club play this year is the biggest and most exciting venture of the German Club, and will
be put on later in the year. It's a great opportunity to improve your German and have a great time, so keep an eye out for
further communications a little later. This year, I will be taking on the coveted role of director, so if you're interested
in performing, costuming, crewing, front of house or the all-important lighting and sound, please email me at tandrac@yahoo.com
and let me know. Once we have a play picked and dates set for performing, I'll be able to tell you more, and you can showcase
your talents before the world!
